Reaching the Rukwa
Many things have been accomplished with God's help in the Rukwa Valley since the Rabenolds moved to Kapenta at the end of 2001. It took vision and hard work. Ted sees himself as a "starter." He prayerfully sees what could be "there," begins a project, then encourages and readies others to take over and administrate, thus freeing him to begin new projects.
Mission work cannot be done alone. It takes a team of gifted people so a great transformation can occur in a place like the Rukwa Valley. Ted and Kim did not go to Kapenta because it is a nice place to live. They went because there is much to be done in an area that was most neglected in Tanzania. Visit the valley! It is easy to do today and contribute your abilities to existing projects or help begin new ones that do not exist. Let God stretch you from where you are to where He wants you to be. There has never been a time where impacting the other side of the world is easier.

The task is not yet complete. Join with us and champion the cause! Impacting the Valley is a huge undertaking requiring the expertise and gifts of many people working together! Perhaps as you learn more you will be touched to participate in some way. Do you have a skill that is needed? Do you know someone who could make a difference? Is the Lord calling you to go? You could become a prayer-warrior. Or, would you like to encourage the Tanzanian outreach ministry financially?
